About the Artist

My name is Veronica Leanos I am a Mexican artist based in Colorado. I was raised in a family of artisans, where creating with our hands was more than a skill—it was a way of expressing love, dedication, and pride in our work. Creativity surrounded me from an early age, shaped by generations of craftsmanship. From handcrafted cowboy boots to bridal gowns, I grew up watching ideas become works of art through patience, precision, and passion. Those experiences taught me that true craftsmanship is not only about creating something beautiful, but about creating something meaningful.

Throughout my artistic journey, I have been fortunate to learn from teachers whose talent, generosity, and dedication continue to inspire me every day. Their guidance has shaped not only my technique, but also the artist I strive to become. My greatest hope is that one day my own work and journey will inspire someone else—to pursue their dreams with courage, resilience, and the confidence to believe in themselves.

Today, my work is rooted in storytelling. Whether through the quiet beauty of forgotten objects or the untamed spirit of the American West, I am drawn to subjects that carry emotion and history. I want every painting to invite the viewer to remember a place, a person, or a moment that still lives in their heart.

The name Esencia Fine Arts reflects what I hope every piece leaves behind: a small part of who I am. Because I believe our essence is what remains with others long after we are gone.
